With this tool, you can measure the internal latency of your local audio hardware (roundtrip) and compensate for it.
This ensures:
You can play your instrument in sync with the doozzoo metronome or audio player.
The other side hears your playing perfectly aligned with the backing track.
Your recordings with the doozzoo APP Recorder remain synchronized.
You can set the local latency compensation in two places:
In the Settings on the dashboard.
During a running session via the Latency App.
1. Adjusting Local Latency Compensation in the Settings
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Use Headphones
Always wear headphones to avoid echoes.
Make sure the headphone volume is not too low.
2. Log In to Your doozzoo Account
Access the doozzoo dashboard with your credentials.
3. Navigate to Settings
Open Settings and select Headphone Mode.
4. Recalculate Local Latency Compensation
Go to the Local Latency Compensation section.
Click Recalculate here.
5. Perform the Test
Hold the headphone cup directly against your active microphone.
Keep it steady—avoid wobbling to reduce unwanted noise.
This works with both built-in and external microphones.
Start the test and wait until you hear the final click. The test completes automatically.
6. Save the Latency Value
Click Confirm to save the calculated latency.

2. Adjusting Local Latency Compensation in a Running Session
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Access the Latency Tool
During an active session, open the APP (A).
(See screenshot below for details).
2. Manual or Automatic Adjustment
Adjust the latency manually by changing the numerical value (B).
Or measure it automatically by selecting the appropriate option (C).
3. Mute Microphones During the Test
Ensure all microphones are muted during the test.
This prevents background noise from the other side from interfering with the measurement.
✨ With these settings, your instrument will always stay perfectly in sync—whether you’re playing live with the metronome, performing for your students, or recording sessions with the APP Recorder.
