How do I use the audio player and let the student play along?

Modified on Wed, 11 Dec at 3:06 PM

1. Just klick on the audio file name in the media library and the audio player will open up automatically:

2. Then set the (1.) remote switch to "Remote on" (connect rings). Then the audio player will open with the audio also on the student's side. Then start (2.) the audio-player. The audio will now play on the student's side. You can control all functions remotely as a teacher.

3. When the player has opened, set the playdirection switch to Student:

4. Adjust the playback quality to suit computers with low processing power.

Select Higher Performance if you hear clicks or tempo fluctuations when using the player.

Select Higher Sound Quality if you want optimal sound even at slow tempos and your computer is powerful enough.

Notes:

  • Playing to the metronome and playback only works when both sides are in headphone mode with headphones.
  • To play correctly in time to the play-along, the local latency compensation must be set correctly on both sides.
  • When your student opens the audio from their media library, the process from the student side is the same as above. In this case the student controls the playback of the file. But the playdirection switch has to be switched from the teacher to the student as well.

Info: The playdirection determines where the audio source is located and on which side the latency is corrected.
