How does the audio and video recorder work in the apps?

Modified on Wed, 26 Oct 2022 at 12:45 PM

The recorder in the apps is used to record your own audio and video inputs. Only your own 'page' is recorded, which makes the recorder particularly suitable for short video tutorials or creating loops.

Before recording, you first choose whether you want to record audio or video.

Start and stop the recording with the record button. After the recording is finished, the recording appears with a waveform display with various editing options.

You can choose between the functions 'Cut', 'Undo editing', 'Save editing', 'Download as mp3'.

Über die Flipmenüs 'Audio Input' und 'Video Input' lassen sich die Signalquellen für die Aufnahme auswählen:

Under the "3 points menu" the time and recording number limitation can be set:

Time limit:

The recorder is preset to 120s (2 minutes). If you want to make longer recordings, you have to increase the limit accordingly. The maximum recording time in the recorder is 600s (10 min) per recording. (The limit protects against overflowing the browser temp folder) Please note: No more recordings are possible when the hard disk is full.

Number limit:

Here you can define how many clips can be stored in the recorder. The setting should not be too high. Clips that you want to keep must be uploaded to the media library. From there they can be shared with the students.
