Playing in Sync with the Audio Player or Metronome

Modified on Thu, 2 Oct at 4:31 PM

With doozzoo, you can play in sync with your student or as a coach using the Audio Player or Metronome.
The key setting for this is the Playdirection switch. This determines:

  • where the audio source is located

  • on which side the local latency is corrected

Playdirection Options

  • Player: Coach – The coach plays in sync with the Audio Player or Metronome.

  • Player: Student – The student plays in sync with the Audio Player or Metronome.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Open Audio or Metronome

    • Select a file from the Media Library → the Audio Player will automatically open on your side.

    • The Metronome can be found under Apps in the menu on the right-hand side.

  2. Start Playback

    • Start the Audio Player or the Metronome.

  3. Choose Playdirection

    • If you as the coach want to play in sync → keep the Playdirection set to "Coach".

    • If your student should play in sync → set the Playdirection to "Student".

Important Notes

  • To make sure you are really playing in time, the local latency correction must be properly set on both sides.

  • Always check that you have chosen the correct playdirection before starting to avoid audible delays.
