What are the differents between a Workshop Room and a Standard Room?

The Standard Room

In the physical world, the standard room is analogous to a small, private teaching room in a music school. The standard room offers additional security through a randomly generated room address. This means that each time the room is started by the coach, a new random address is created — for example:
https://app.doozzoo.com/room/26-83-1-29-18.
This random address makes it virtually impossible for uninvited guests to guess the room address and enter.

“Connect First” for High Security and File Sharing

In order for students to find their coach in doozzoo and meet at the agreed time, the coach must first invite the student via a one-time invitation link. Once this is done, the student is permanently connected to the coach and can enter the teacher’s room as soon as the teacher starts it.

Note: This connection has an added benefit: media can be shared directly and permanently with connected students through the media library — even outside of a live online session.

The Workshop Room

In the physical world, the workshop room is comparable to a group or seminar room in a music school. It allows a larger number of participants in the same room, for example for music theory lessons or ear training.

Advantages of the Workshop Room:

• It accommodates larger groups.

• Depending on the subscription plan:

  • FREE: No workshop room

  • PRO: One workshop room with up to 20 participants

  • Institution: Unlimited number of workshop rooms, each with up to 25 participants

• It has a fixed room address, making it easily accessible.

For FREE and PRO Users:

The workshop room is easily accessible via a custom room URL that the coach can define, e.g.:
http://app.doozzoo.com/pro/my-custom-name
This means participants can enter the coach’s room just by clicking the link, even without registering on doozzoo. This is especially useful for trial students or rotating groups that need a simple way to meet directly.

(Note: A fixed room address is easier for uninvited guests to guess than a highly secure standard room with a random address. However, the room can be locked at any time to prevent unauthorized access.)

For Users of the doozzoo Institution Version:

The workshop room is also accessible via a fixed room URL, e.g.:
http://app.doozzoo.com/edu/mymusicschool/musictheory1
This allows even participants without a doozzoo account to easily access the room. This is useful for music schools offering courses to students who only book this specific course but do not take regular lessons. It's also practical for entrance exams at universities — applicants are not yet enrolled students, but can still access the workshop room easily.
(Note: Like with PRO users, the fixed address is easier to guess. However, the workshop room can be locked at any time.)

Important:
Students cannot start sessions themselves — they can only join existing sessions.
Coaches can also connect with other coaches and meet each other in the same way.
