Mixing multiple cameras and/or iPad/iPhone screens

In some situations, it is practical to be able to show several cameras at the same time. You may also want to display the screen of an iPad or iPhone.

This can be done on a computer using the free OBS software.

Here is a short guide to get you started:

  1. Download OBS here: https://obsproject.com/
  2. Install OBS on your computer.
  3. Connect all the cameras and devices you want to use to your computer.
  4. Open OBS.
  5. Click on the + symbol at the bottom of the "Sources" area.
  6. Select the type of video or image source you want to add from the list. If you want to use a camera or show a connected iPad/iPhone, select "Video Capture Device".
  7. Now enter a unique name for this device and click on "Okay".
  8. Repeat steps 5 to 7 if you want to add more cameras or devices.
  9. In the upper area of OBS you will see a representation of what will ultimately be sent to doozzoo. There you can freely scale and arrange the individual images and videos.
  10. When you are happy with the view, click on the "Start Virtual Camera" button on the right.
  11. Select "OBS Virtual Camera" as your camera (video input) in doozzoo. Everything you change in the preview area in OBS will now be displayed in doozzoo.
  12. If you no longer need OBS, first click on the "Stop Virtual Camera" button and close OBS.
